The mission of the Commission On Scholarship, Education And Training to promote and implement a series of events, programs, and initiatives which will provide information and activities focused on academic training, career development and scholarship sourcing for school-age students and high school graduates.

The Commission on Scholarship, Education and Training (CSET), is a working group within the ministries structure of FAME Church of Los Angeles under FAME’S Urgency of Education Initiative.  The group is comprised of a large assembly of persons with a wide and diverse assortment of backgrounds and achievements. CSET has the sole mission of preparing young people within the FAME Community to succeed in their life choices

CSET hosts a number of activities to encourage, engage, and motivate FAME youth to excel in their academic exploits to ensure success as they prepare for college, careers and life.  Our three major annual activities are Scholarship Awards (June), College and Career Fair – “Hoops and Options” (October) and Golf Tournament Scholarship Fundraiser (November).  In addition we host the following annual activities:

  • Academic Enrichment (Princeton Review SAT Preparation)
  • College Mail Call
  • Graduate Research Forum
  • Graduation Recognition Ceremony
  • Recreation and Cultural Camp

The Commission meets monthly on the First and Third Tuesday at 6:00 PM the Allen House.
