Senior’s Ministry and Congregational Care
General responsibilities: The Associate Minister of Senior’s Ministry and Congregational Care shares in all the basic functions of pastoral ministry with specific emphasis in congregational care, such as visitation, counseling and special needs.
- Participates in the leadership of worship.
- Coordinates Communion for members who are convalescent or homebound.
- Develops and offers avenues for spiritual direction, support and growth for seniors.
- Participates in contacting those in need, particularly those who are going through life transition such as illness, loss and grief.
- Participates in providing counseling to people in need or crisis.
- Participates in weddings, funerals, memorial or other rituals of transition in the life of FAME Church members.
- Coordinates funeral services for members who have transitioned.
- Provides visitation to the sick and shut in.
- Serves as a community representative of the church as needed.
- Acts as liaison between mission and outreach programs of FAME Church and community base group and other church networks.
